Laying in bed
thinking of the things
I did
I had no clue
I was losing my cool
over the things
I thought I was smooth
I only played myself
like a fool
Listening to brothers
talk about money, cars and broads
with no future
to solve the way
that led them in the place
we sit
in jail
thinking we are the shit
playing our love ones
like some tricks
We are now counting them bricks
wishing we were in the streets
packing heat
playing for keeps
thinking about that time
the judge dropp a dime
make us crave for jailhouse wine
for the ocassion
we smoke
get high
to take the hurt off our mind
ain't that crazy
Instead of talking about getting
a GED or working towards a degree
to set their mind, body and soul free
for the next VIP(very intelligent person)
of those make or break streets
I wish they shut the shut up(their mouths)
I am just trying to sleep
