Justified Cruelty? - Poem by don't ever ask

I know I’m cruel,
Or so they say,
A heartless bitch,
Of that I’m aware.
I turn on the heat,
Turn off the lights,
Give a cold kiss,
And then say good-bye.
A sweet smile is all that’s needed,
To redeem myself,
Oh how foolish art thou!
You don’t know what pain is!
Blood aimlessly pumping,
It’s goal not encountering,
Laugh at frustration,
The queen of damnation.
‘Tis but lust,
Contain it thou must!
A cold hand,
A cruel pretence,
Eyes full of lies,
That’s my disguise.
Once I had a heart,
Today, it’s a void space,
Fulfilled it can’t be,
The greatest love,
Useless is.
Lost within myself,
Pursuing isolation,
One hopeless admiration,
One cruel rejection,
Now I’m but a reflection,
Of senseless desperation.
Death’s creation,
Current object of temptation,
Mere infatuation,
Have no expectation,
I have no salvation.
Alas! Only him…
Who remains so grim…
Only him I can love,
But of his feeling I’m deprived of,
Therefore I can’t feel,
Anything that’s real,
Not for you,
To you I’m untrue,
My heart is his,
Therefore, destroyed it is.
