Learn to speak

Killing time.
I’m killing time
Killing time
until I have to rhyme.
She’s so sweet
She’s so sweet
Take her home
and eat (and eat) .
Killing time
I kill her time
Learn to speak
and commit a crime.
Softly, slowly
Softly, slow
This is how
the big kids go.

    It has good rhythm and rhyme, but where is the meaning in it? The poem seems so empty full of threatinging remarks that are weak and powerless in prose. (Report)Reply
