Last Moment - Poem by dolan murphy

so this is it and so it goes
your smile still there long after you've gone
i see it everywhere in thoughts and in song
i've touched and laughed in eyes of thine
this temporary visit on this earth not of mine
and in your search if you find happiness in your heart
then i can lean into the winter distant but not apart
if this completes your heart i can smile to know
i shall disappear with the arctic snow
listen please, if i may just say one time...darlin.
never stop dancing, lift your beautiful arms hold them toward the sun
let all see your wonderful smile
follow that spark that radiates from you
listen and hear the instruments that guide your feet, such lovely feet
feet that at one point led us into each other
you are whatever the flowers have always meant
and even though i leave and cannot see you
i feel you blindly
its how i crave your body, touch, breath, voice, the chime in your laughter
that'll keep your silhouette at my fingertips
maybe ill roam this maze on earth
ill ask to wait or not to wait
will we drift like smoke and find each other
in an empty station ill dream of golden fleeces
and create for you an ivory harbor
thru windows of a train ill pass thru autumn
like a flower seeking the sun let them rise to your lips
and if suddenly you forget me than it shall be
in search of islands ill take you there or there i may forget you
as long as you are though nothing in me seems extinguished
its in you that i find in me this sweetness of life
you gave life its fire, its earth and soil
from your shoulders, such lovely shoulders, flowers fall
and in them dreams exist
to dance alone in this world we throw
and from this twilight the sun shall melt
sleep well and never stop hearing how beautiful you are

Pretty theme... and once again, good imagery and senses ;) (Report) Reply
