Lecturer Poem by Holly Heron

Lecturer

Rating: 5.0

The lecturer drones on
Not noticing his sleeping students
And those dead with open eyes
A font of knowledge
So deceptively portrayed
Those gems of thought
Hidden in the gryme
Of an uncreative mind
Spouting analogies
To prove his own self worth
Losing students
Losing youth
Stealing vitality
From mind numbed captives
Sitting in a hall of knowledge
His words don't touch me.

He hides his knowledge well.
