Lessons Learned And Relearned Poem by L C Vieira

Lessons Learned And Relearned

Rating: 5.0

California eyes
Texas thighs
beauties and cuties
to pass a man's time -
searching for what
when what he has
is already perfect
in one True Love's smile.

The wise man understands
his woman knows him well:
how he thinks,
what he wants,
where he's been
and where he's not.

The wise woman sets the scale,
and says nothing.

Some loves feed on flattery,
some diet on truth,
other's starve
on nothing at all.

If Men Could Think Like Women

Unintentional suicide -
one involuntary sigh
at some girl's lovely dimpled back.
With one killer glance, the longsuffering wife
burns his years of love notes,
tender words, and soft touches,
and the poor guy has to start (again) .

If Women Could Think Like Men

Huh!
Ask the girl with the lovely dimpled back.

Don't leave her alone
For too long.
The woman thinks too much.
She solves riddles
Seeks truths
Finds answers
Makes news.

Keep a smart woman busy,
or she'll keep you honest.

A lie has few manners,
crushing invitation.
it arrogantly pushes through the best soil,
the once carefully tended garden,
and spreads its diseased children
over the truths that were.

The truth is a lady or gentleman
who opens the door and welcomes you
with a wink and a brush of your coat.

Look deeply into Truth's eyes
and you'll see yourself as true or not,
but loved all the same, and freer for that.
