Let's Pretend - Poem by Isabela Sousa

Let's pretend that I am a warrior and not a prisoner of so many fears
That I do not care about you
The towers I built stand erected
Let's pretend I have never feared the error and it is going to be okay
That I know the right direction to take
That I have the right words to say
And there are trophies on my shelf
Let's pretend that not everything is lost and the wounds are healed
There are still choices to make
And I will not have to die alone
Because you will come back...
