Let there be life in the evening sky;
Let there be peace - at least let us try.
Let there be hope in a world of distress;
Let there be sunshine and warm happiness!

Let there be meaning; let there be you!
Let there be us with a White House in BLUE!
Let there be reason; let there be song!
Let there be light where things went so wrong!

Let there be justice to ring in our halls;
Let human kindness prevail when Man falls!
Let serendipity sit in the shade;
Let Nature's garden host our parade!

Let the reaction of folks at their best
Put all emotion's commotion at rest!
And let our final salute to the earth
Be one of genesis, love and rebirth!

For me, for you … let it be true!
For cosmos' sake … let there be BLUE!
