Letter From A Loved One - Poem by Audrey Bautz

I just wanted to let you know,
That I see you from time to time,
Sometimes I go to the spots where we used to go,
In hopes that maybe you visit them as well,
Your face is embedded in my mind,
And your voice is the only sound I hear,
But I hope that you've grieved and moved on,
I hope that you've found that happiness again,
I see you at my grave a lot,
All ways bringing fresh flowers,
But I have to wonder why you continuously,
Put off your life and why you haven't let go,
I have, I have moved onto a higher place,
And I am happy,
But to watch you suffer like this,
Breaks me so that even Heaven cannot mend the pain,
Please know that letting you go was the hardest,
I have had to do,
But take comfort in the fact that I am with you all ways,
And will see you again,
Moving on is the best thing you could do,
If not for yourself then for me,
Move on for me,
Fall in love for me,
Grow old for me,
Live for me,
Living with regrets is what makes us human,
But letting go of them makes us righteous,
And time is such a fragile thing to waste,
That I wouldn't want to watch you pass it by,
I love you and all ways will,
You were all my reasons,
And I wait for the day when we are together again,
Keep that portrait of you and I up in the foyer,
Think of me from time to time.

moving; time is such a fragile thing to waste. thinking of the one you love is not waste, it seems nothing comes of it, but you discover who you are, you discover your strengths. moving. (Report) Reply
