Letter To Durga - Poem by David Fink
Dear Goddess, when we quiet down our fears,
you are already inside of our hearts.
Hearing you, we know the hollowness
we thought was hiding deep inside our beings
is just the shallow false fear that is left
from the slight scratches on our skins. Unhurt
by unmindful slips of hands, words, and minds,
you teach us to know we are not our wounds.
Deity, you reveal yourself in what,
(when we stop hiding) finally comes out.
