Life Poem by LucyAnne Wanjiku

Life

Life's like that, we often remark
One day you're the boss, tomorrow you get the sack
One day you're his queen, the next he asks you to pack
Today is filled with sunshine, tomorrow it's pitch dark
Still let's remember, life's like that

Life's not fair, we always confess
You try to be nice, yet you make a mess
You work very hard, and end up making less
Today you seem intelligent, tomorrow you haven't a guess
Still let's remember, life's not fair

Life is a struggle, it is often said
Those who give their all, never get paid
It's when you are down that you never get aid
And when you feel secure, that thieves will raid
Still let's remember life's a struggle

Life's not fair, very few care
Life is a struggle, you'll have endless trouble
Still let's remember, life's like that
