Life As We Know It - Poem by Kelsey Klehn
This is Life as we know it:
It keeps getting harder to take a hit!
It eats away at a weak soul,
It’s a hard emotional toll.
Some can survive the long day,
Others want it to just go away.
It gets hard to live life,
Some choose the knife.
Others choose the rope,
Why couldn’t you fill them with hope?
No one person is exactly perfect,
You need to realize who you effect.
Others seek help for their troubles,
But in the end the pain doubles.
You feel so alone in this world,
It’s like your just being twirled.
We need to take a stand and save their hearts,
When they are always being picked apart.
It’s not okay to make a kid feel shame,
Because, in the end, you are to blame.
Bullying is not okay,
Watch what you say.
Some can take it,
Others weaken, bit by bit.
Stop this unforgivable death,
So one more child can take a breath.
Some are stronger,
Don’t make pain last longer!
