(limerick) Why Is She Mourning Like This? - Poem by WES Vogler

Why is she mourning?
It's for her husband.
But she doesn't have a husband.
What better reason to mourn?

translated into limerick form (in Eastern style)

'Why is she mourning like this? '
'She mourns for her husband, amiss.'
'But, she is not married.'
'And, because of this, harried.
Now you know why her mind's an abyss.'

Very nicely done, both the four line version and the limerick.

Thanks for your comments on three of my poems.
You asked which of my own poems is my personal favorite. It's hard to choose, because it's almost a toss-up between several. Two of them you have already read: River Ran Red and Rooftop Stronghold. Others are Butterfly of Death, The Storm and You're in!

Thank you sir. It is very gratifying to get such a quick feedback. I enjoyed putting this limerick together.
Of my ninety odd limericks, only five had been rated to this date.
