Liquid Pain - Poem by Justin Fedirko

Darkness falls upon your door,
A blanket of anger from roof to floor,
Slowly, but surely, it takes your life,
Cuts passion, desire, like the blade of a knife
Sucking the warmth and glow from your soul,
Leaving you empty like an endless hole
Fighting and Violence becomes a constant guest
As visible as blood on your victim’s vest
The night before a total haze,
You walk through your life like a mouse in a maze
Never knowing the pain you create,
A sober life you imitate
The tears of loved one’s constantly fall
For the man destroyed by alcohol.
