A beautiful story of a lone flower delighted that you saw it. The flower will now live forever thanks to your beautiful poem. (Report) Reply

A great thought expressed through this beautiful poem. Our life may be short, but if we can give something to others within this short span it is a worthy life; it is a life fulfilled.
A little purple flower amazes me wit its simple beauty. To quote from the poem- -
Today, however, I had a reason to smile
A nerd, or so he must be
Looked at this little purplish flower, a while
And took a picture of me

Even if tomorrow, to the worst of my fears
I have to die, as yesterday my peers
    I will do so happily
since someone has seen the beauty in me.

    Aufie Zophy,
Our larger existence is the total of the small within our day to day lives; in thought, deed, and in interpretation of what we see, feel and hear. Your poem, (Little Purple Flower) gave voice to the tiny blessings which if swept over we may simply miss. Thank you for writing. Blessings to you in your life and writing. May you continue to grow and learn and question and I hope you find true meaning.........................................Kathy

Liked the way small things were woven with the big themes. Liked the sea of flowers in the end. I will come back for more. (Report) Reply

A poem that is so moving it deals with how we all at times feels insignificant and the power of somebody seeing our potential, our beauty. We bloom forever eternally in a garden of love and respect. A poem that is an outstanding write! (Report) Reply

Our lives are but purple flowers
Briefly to bloom, then to wither and die
But in between too many lovers
Who do not shed tears as we withered lie

(by lovers I mean bees. Great poem of yours....I enjoyed it.)
