Lizzie's Poem Poem by Libby Harvey

Lizzie's Poem

Our Queen was crowned November twenty sixth nineteen ninety one.
Sent straight from above, she covered us with her abundant love.
On horseback, she rode out to find the successful life that she would live.
All by herself she found, down deep within, the generosity that she could give.
Give she did, she fought her fight.
She did everything in this life with all her might.

October twenty first two thousand and seven.
This day changed your life, dear Lizzie.
You went on, being strong for oh so long.
Living life to its fullest.
As more time went by you never gave up,
You set the example for all of us.
Hero you were, hero you are.
Your life shone brightly, like a star.

The twenty first of March two thousand and nine,
Your story touched many hearts, like mine.
The twenty first hour of that very day, your beautiful soul passed away.
You flew on wings like eagles, escorted by angels to the gates of Heaven.
Now you walk the golden streets above,
Your Father made the way with his everlasting love.
Reunited at last with your mother and kin, never ever will you have pain again.
We admire your determined and courageous heart.
We miss you dear Lizzie, wait for us to join you at home.
