Logic And Faith - Poem by Hannah Hampton

He is astronomy
The constant orbit of stars and planets
He craves logic
She is astrology
The discontinuity of creativity
She craves faith
Together they claim to be reason without law
They claim to be action without consequence
They are two sides of a nickel
She is heads; she is a face
He is tails; he is architecture
They are tangible
Love, too, is tangible
Love is a place; love is here
Love is shouting from tabletops
Love is sitting quietly
Clearly, love is interpretable
They claim to be love without disappointment
And stop injustice in its tracks
But the world continues turning
Still, on the record plays
One thing my leader didn't realize:
An eye for an eye goes both ways
