Look Beyond The Bulb - Poem by Moriah Schutt

Pretty and perfect
All flowers know
That’s what’s expected
And that’s what they’ll show

But some don’t get the chance
They’re suffocated, crushed
Beauty in numbers
Just isn’t enough

The closer you look
The easier it is to see
There is a flower within us all
Yes, beauty within you and me

So before you judge a flower
By it’s fading petal, or scent
Hear out their cry
Their beautiful lament

Topic(s) of this poem: beauty, beauty of rose, flower, flowers, judgement, lament, looks, perception
