Looking For - Poem by Chris Wilkes
I am, so close and she
Just sits, legs furled, shades face.
Sun shivered through curls,
Lenses intercept, my regard
And give no clues, no sight.
But she, just smiles and I
Caress, warm skin, such grace.
Lowers eyes from sky,
Then looks at me, just me
My life, as love pours out
We hold and kiss, as if
All words, were just, unlearned
Only then, I understand
My need, for her
One breath, one heart, one life.
