Lora's Banquet - Poem by Quame Boatmann

If wishes come true,
On this special day
I would make thousands for you
and this day would be as special as it is to be

If wishes come true,
I would wish you a tour in heaven
and you would walk on streets of gold,
to mansions built with precious stones,
and the angels be your tour guides.

If wishes come true,
I would wish the biggest banquet for you
And the presence of the multitude
Black and white, young and old
Kings and Queens, masters and servants, rich and poor
To sit at the round table of your banquet, a banquet of the world,
Lora’s banquet.
To celebrate with you, this special day.

If wishes come true,
I would wish you the garment of queen Elizabeth,
And her crown and ornaments
Her throne and her people

If wishes come true,
I would wish for all that make you happy
I would wish for this day to be a memorable one.

If wishes come true,
I would wish wishes come true,
that all these wishes may come true,
If wishes come true
I wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
