Lorelei - Poem by Joel Roderick Bisson

Oh sweet siren I beckon your call
Sing to me your song until I do fall
Lead me to madness and everlasting dreams
Make this dream come apart, lead my doom
For the first time I heard that voice
I could have cried it was so beautiful
If I follow then I'd surely die
It was not a simple temptation of choice
If 'I said I Never Love You, I Lied'
Though it is for this that I do choose
That somethings may be wonderful
But even the slightest mistake can be
So I must resist your tempting voice
And voyage onward to a new day.
