Velvet Astraea Dido

Lost - Poem by Velvet Astraea Dido

the clouds are falling
the sky is fading
bright stars are disintegrating

I look around
And the space is black
I walk around
And the earth moves about
I feel every second
Tightening;
Corroding;
And all I see is black

So I choke
I choke
I choke
Not making my muscles move
Not making my senses feel
Not making any resistance
Withdrawing all my strength
Throwing out all my sentiments
And once more
I wish
I hope
When all hopes have gone
When all hopes have disappeared
That my life
Will end this very second
That lightnings strike me!
That the earth envelope me!
That a stray bullet
Fall on me!

Then all my faults shall obliterate
And all my dreams
And all my fears
That strangle my soul
Corrupt my heart
And all the misery I have brought about
All the lies I have swallowed
All the castles in the sky
I have created in my mind
Shall have the flight with my soul
As I enter the stance of my nothingness.

And my existence
Gone.
In a split second.

Gone.
