Lost Souls - Poem by Donald Yates
A blue white twinkle in the sky
A beacon in the night
Lost souls on a river of hope
blind eyes see no light.
Searching, searching never ending
forever and a day
Open up your mind my friend
on earth you can not stay.
Love your neighbor as yourself
in him find no wrong
As you travel life's rough road
you'll find it not so long.
For love is the spark the guiding light
try it you'll find peace
and when the gates swing open wide
all doubts and worries cease.
If you are trying to break your chain
one way I know is faster
Examine the links that hold you down
until you find the master.
The master link in your life and mine
is seen by many every day
For in the words of the masters book
there lies the key, the hope, the way.
