Love - Poem by malerie walker
Is that bubbly feeling in your stomach or
While you are walking you see a turtle dove
You can’t explain it, but it’s never happened before
There is no definition
But it’s definitely real
It feels almost like tradition
For this boy you feel
Your heart just flies
As he leans in for a kiss
But all you can do is close tight your eyes
As you pass him in the hall,
That very next day
You look at him and think, “Was that all? ”
But no, there’s more
He thinks of you as
Special, extraordinary, kind
And it’s already been a month, can’t the days slower pass?
You’ve learned from experience boys like to
Change it up, but he’s the one, you know it. And guess what?
He loves you, too!
