Love As Fragile As A Crimson Rose - Poem by Donna G Fowler

If not for the watered down fragile crimson rose
I would have thought different of our love
Yet you treated me like a porcelain toy doll
Sent to from heaven above

We were like dancers in two parallel rows
In a maze only you understood
If not for the scrutiny of our life’s
Would we know our love was good?

The dance we danced at the bough of this tree
The exhale of our breath, the sigh of relief
Yes I suppose we could learn to love each other
If we look at our hearts and just believe

(Napoleon, OH)
