Love, Flaws And Man's Perspective - Poem by Dee Domitrovic

You know me under all shades of cool
I put them on religiously every morning
Blemishes and lines,
years of searching floating under the eyes
You would rather I leave it all uncovered
Red and raw, like meat on the platter
You say you know me under hundred winters
around my heart
So you offered to leave the cage opened
Generously placing crumbs of sunshine as my treat
You would rather that I fly
Featherless and glorious
Somewhere far away from you** **
