Love Letters - Poem by DonnaDeLong Matthews

If I dropped my bottled letter
into the sea
Would it find it's way
and bring you to me

If I scribed my heats contents
upon the sand
Would you come for me
and take my hand

The world I would search
for your love so true
from the depths of the sea
to the sky so blue

I try to envision
the you my heart knows
but it always appears
you reside beyond the rainbow

Upon each wave
I pray for your presence
to fill this heart
and caress my very essence

Would you follow my footprints
that I leave in stride
or is it all a dream
that disappears with the morning tide
