Love Light - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Love is a brilliance even the blind can see
With a soft and warming glow all around
For once it guided my true love to me
Soul mates in lifes love soon bound

We would face lifes darkness hand in hand
And undefeated we stood year after year
Until this dreary life so broke our band
Now in darkness I surrender my tear

For alone one feels the world has them beat
A lonely soul but a flicker in dark of night
Much more easy to accept lifes defeat
Then to standup alone and to fight

Listen to this one who was so beaten down
Rejoice in that brilliance love has to give
And replace with a smile every frown
Remember this as you love so live.
'closing thought'
Losing your soul mate is a wound that never heals
It leaves a hollow emptiness your soul constantly feels
