Love Lock - Poem by Sathish Shanmugam
The day I took her into my arms
And I look her in the eyes
Deep beyond those smiles
I saw love that never crossed my heart.
Time seemed to cheat me
Every time she blew candles,
Even the times she climbed me
And rode the room while throwing spangles.
A dream that never can be lost
As she walked in her pretty frock,
Mazed in her words
As she put me in her love lock.
To watch you sleep is a dream come true,
Listenin' to your breath
I swear to myself
'I will protect you till my death'.
