Love Note 389 - Poem by Michael P. McParland

Good afternoon my sweet Angel dove
and I am so very sorry I slept
so very very long.
Nobody ever woke me because the cat
doesn't go to the vets until
5: 20 this afternoon and I didn't
think by any means I would sleep this long.
Smile for me though my sweet Angel Queen
because I send you great big sweet kisses of love
and great big hugs of complete and pure warmth.
And I had the most beautiful dream of us my sweet one.
The part I remember most clear of all
was us sitting side by side while
you played with a bright and beautiful butterfly,
and then as you released we both
looked at each other and smiled
snuggling and nuzzling the entire while.
I know there was more and it was so wonderful
but as dreams tend to do
they get fuzzy and are not describable.
I know you are smiling and I can feel it
with all of you caring love and deep warming,
you are the greatest my sweet precious Angel.

So again I'm sorry my dear I slept
so very long and I know you remembered
I am with you always holding you and your hand.
I am always sending you all of my
endless, infinite warmth and love.
Kira you are my Angel and northern star
and I can't wait until I am holding you here
so close to me forever sweet dear.
So as I get up now to eat a little bit
of food and check on the cat a bit more
I want to tell you I love you sweet one
and will definitely write you
before I must go off to the vet.
I love you sweet Kira so very much
and never forget you are all of
my greatest dreams and hopes.
You are my everything and my only one,
grab on to the faith with me dear
I know our time will come.
