Love So True - Poem by Tasmeena Katrina Crorie Labbonno

As I was thinking, as I often do
The subject turned to love and I start thinking of you
Do you know how I feel?
As if my heart was just ripped out
I thought our love was real
But, now I don't know what it's all about

I thought to myself, this isn't how it's meant to be
I thought I was for you and you were for me
You are not who I once used to know
Where did you put him? Where did he go?
You may seem surprised I have moved on
But I finally realize you're long gone...

The days have gone by- it would almost be a year.
But no longer can I call you 'my dear'.
So I choose now to give it all up and set my heart free
Although I will always have memories of you and me...
And no matter how much I want to, this feeling won't go away
Cause my love is still very true and in my heart you'll forever stay.
