Love That Doesn'T Last Isn'T Love At All - Poem by Holly Gargus

You are my lover
And my love
There will be no other
No other to think of
No other in my heart
No other that I hold
Even while we are apart
During the nights that are so cold
Looking deep into your eyes, I can say,
I love you
And I will always remember the day
The day when I knew that this was true

You were my lover
You were my love
And one day there will be another
Another for me to think of
Another in my heart
Another to hold
Permenantly apart
Our love grew cold
And now finally I can say,
I don’t love you
Even though I remember the day
The day that I thought what we had was true
