This is sad, and beautiful at the same time. (Report)Reply

I've read that Suckling got a very nasty beating from another suitor for the daughter of a lord, I wonder if that was inspiration. Either way this is one of the more nasty Break Up venting poems writing, perfect when you feel ditched by the opposite sex. (Report)Reply

Love and hate are correlated in life! After hate again love will prevail. So, this is only a transitory state of life! (Report)Reply
