Love You Or Leave You? - Poem by Nicole Heintz

I think of you as soon as I wake up in the morning
I love you after breakfast,
After lunch,
After dinner.
You are my every day companion,
My friend.
Some people say you are bad to me.
Maybe you are
But I don’t care.
I need you.
You help me when I feel blue.
I like you when I am happy,
When it is sunny,
Or even snowing!
I love you after my morning coffee,
After a shower
Or a bath.
I love you when I am lying in the sun,
When I am listening to jazz.
I need you before going to bed.
You are so tasty,
So relaxing.
I couldn’t live without you.
I love your smell,
Your colour,
Your shape.
Maybe one day I’ll leave you…
Who knows?

My cigarette!
