Lunatic Dreams - Poem by Stefan Monsaureus

The specter of dreams pursued, yet unconquered
Looms over the horizon
Peers over shoulders

Hyperion’s daughter reflects upon fate
Casts light upon pale vision
Pulls gently at emotion’s flow

Fluid dreams wax and wane
Obscured by earthly concerns
And wander off

This harsh mistress intrudes on sleep
Palpable and visceral
Contouring ambitions

These lunatic dreams that light my nights
Deceptively close
Remote and unattainable
