Lying Eyes - Poem by brittany strub

Looking deep into his eyes,
I can see the way he lies.
With a crooked smile,
I feel stunned, for awhile.
As he forms them, one by one.

I wonder why he finds this fun.
I just stare blankly,
I don't give a crap, quite frankly.
But it's his eyes,
So haunting
It's his matted lies,
I'm wanting.
Oh how desperate I must be,
For the real him, i will never see.
But those eyes,
That tell me lies.

It's myself now,
Whom I despise.
As I'm looking deep into his eyes,
Where I can see his many lies.
