Mama - Poem by Betty Bee

The life full of love but still not enough
Only child can fill that void, with joy and laugh

The first face we saw when we came to light
The only one when we opened our eyes
In the deep of the night

She helped us to move our first steps
She was always close to our beds
Sacrificed her sleep whenever it takes

Mama was the first word we said
There is no school where to learn the trade

In our feelings down,
Her smile she would never deny

Any competition from her part
Only true love from her heart

She knows when to step aside
With a panting heart she will let us take our flight

From now on there will be only life
That will teach us to remember the things
We learned how to stay alive

The life we received in donation,
Now is all our own
We will never tire of repeating thank-you, mom.
