Memories - Poem by Karanam Ramachandra Rao

How could I reconstruct
the annals of my history
on the surplusage of memories?
The time I lived
in the nondescript place
of my exile
when I watched glorious
sun sets,
and cascading water falls?
Could I garft them on
to my infirm present
where memories are
no surer guides
but merely the dying embers
of the unremembered past?
