Met A Girl - Poem by Andrew Carson

There once was a girl
She was as pretty as a pearl
Her hair was brown
And she never wore a frown
Her eyes where bright
Just like the star light
Her voice was sweet
She was a delight to meet
She might not have been a lady
But would always give to charity
A fairer girl I never met
One I’ll never forget
