Mirrors And Windows

Rating: 5.0
Whenever I find myself looking out of a window,
I am always acutely aware
That I am staring at the journey of my life so far
And the path I have taken to get there.

I can see all the times I was at my happiest,
As well as my sadness and fear.
I can see every ounce of emotion I've felt
On the path I have taken to get here.

But now I want to stand and gaze out of a window
Instead of inspecting my past,
As everything I want to achieve in my life
Is staring back at me through the glass.

Beyond this window is an array of crossroads,
Some bathed in colour some bare.
At the end of these roads are my dreams, my future,
And the paths I must take to get there.
