Morning At Nottingham (Unmc) - Poem by Aminath Neena

With the early birds, this morning
as I woke up for a new day's calling

The gleeful sun smiled
from far across the lake
while the fading moon smirked
from right above the haze

The picturesque hills far beyond
waved and beckoned to me
whispering a particular song
audible to my heart only

The sparkling trees hoisted
their jewels...oh! rubies so graciously
and a crimson carpet was foisted
on the naked grass discreetly

The ground breathed my name
and my feet played music on little twigs
putting the snails on the walls to shame
Oh! such breathtaking joy beyond limits

Greeted me, this morning
As I woke up for a new day's calling.
