Morning Brings Poem by Yonah Jeong

Morning Brings

Rating: 5.0

morning
brings
traces of the deep night

wake up
to see the sky
open the window
the fence of
the front house
to touch
the bare branches of
dozens of old tree

i reach out my hands
soon

hand meddling fragment clouds
holding floating stars
bending a universe

morning
brings
a light of the dark night.

5. Just an aside: Vayalar was an atheist, a very outspoken one…

4. Meaning, "I stand leaning on the walls of the great horizon and control the movement of the Universe "…. This very idea of extreme power of Man and his playfulnesses, I find in this poem.

2. I am reminded of the great poet and lyricist of yesteryears "Vayalar Rama Varma ", who wrote in my mother tongue Malayalam.

Very creative writing. Loved the way it is presented: " i reach out my hands soon / hand meddling /fragment clouds / holding floating stars /bending a universe." Beautifully crafted. Extreme poetry. I am reminded "
