Mother Earth Calms Me - Poem by Christina Sunrise

MOTHER EARTH CALMS ME
Buried, buried down in the sand
I feel my heart beat from my toes to my hands.
I’m covered in sand from my head to my one toe—
The toe that was hit by a bird
The bird is white as snow.
I hide my legs
That look like a mermaid
In disguise—
I pretend I’m one
As I smile.
I feel Mother Earth’s safety
with her calm
I will be healed
I am very grateful
She is always there for me
Feeling her energy in my energy field.
