Mumbo Jumbo - Poem by John Paul Wilson

Ancient men, so old and wise
Sleeping soundly in their slow
But eventual dream of paradise.

Singing time of neverknow
Singing up to praise the sun
‘Sumum dei bonat bonum…'?

Lesson lessens less the past
Gondola or charabanc
Silence of the everlast.

Silently the great ship sank
Silence for those men of yore
‘Ibi iacet testator…'!
