Murdoch And Packer Poem by Francis Duggan

Murdoch And Packer

They talk of Government mismanagement of a society in decay
And of high youth unemployment they seem to have much to say
Packer and Murdoch have their billions but they don't go out of their way
To support the poor and needy better people far than they.

They like to demean Paul Keating about Keating people know
He is not a great Prime Minister sometimes he tend to stoop low
But if Packer or Murdoch were Prime Minister many would say Paul were great
When compared to these two his main detractors Keating seems the workers mate

Kerry Packer and Rupert Murdoch their true feelings they can't hide
They want John Howard as Prime Minister they are on the Liberals side
And with these wealthy men to back him Howard may see his dream come true
But may God help all poor Australians and Australian workers
too.

Kerry Packer and Rupert Murdoch they won't help Australia's poor
They will only help the party who will make their wealth secure
When they talk of unemployment amongst the Australian youth
They should say they do not care much 'twould be closer to the truth.

Kerry Packer and Rupert Murdoch talk of growth in poverty
But they should back their words with money what use is their sympathy?
They keep trying to get at Keating about Keating people know
He is far from perfect leader but when compared to them his stature grow.
