My Dispair - Poem by Ethan Wayne

A one night stand, a one hand clap, a one word slap
All hurt but nothing hurt more than awakening and finding you gone

You were once everything I needed and more, but something changed… slow
It was like awakening from a nightmare, like a rude awakening from a poll… I fell down that hole.

Every rule we broke, a stall we took, all to be caught by the hook… then you came and took all you wanted.

Did you enjoy watching me fade…?
I hope you know I never developed hate…
Hope you know I never used any paint on my smile…
And I surely hope you enjoy your new crown…

Now here I sit in this empty town…
With nothing but a silent hound…
A pound on my soul…

The final words come to my ears…
Carried by the wind… up that silent hill… like a one shot kill…
