My Dog Named 'stay' - Poem by Vincent Kuo

I had a dog named Stay when I was a lad
I got him as a present from my dad

A clever and playful mutt he was
With saggy ears and tiny paws

Stay was a loyal and faithful hound
And wherever I went, he'd hang around

As loyal as Stay was though, he did have a weakness
He was so hard to train and drove me to bleakness

'Come here! Stay! ' I'd call to him
But he'd just swing his head and shake his limb

Whenever I called him, he'd look confused
And despite all the training, he always refused

Loved the pun that confused your poor pooch, like throwing him on a see-saw. Now there's another poem to write. Read mine - On the Horns of the Moon -

I would just love Stay I know, but I`m not surprised he was confused though, a brilliant poem. (Report) Reply
