My Ghostly Lover - Poem by Faye Fleming

My ghostly lover calls to me
I hear his voice and go
He calls to me from the distance
I offer no resistance

He flows through my veins
like an intoxicating wine
His presence there, sublime

My ghostly lover, seduces me,
body and mind
His words are magic,
working spells on the heart

To live without them,
would tear me apart
leaving me to die of a broken heart

My ghostly lover, hides not his hunger
It’s there in his eyes, it shakes me to my core
With in mere seconds,
reducing me to beg for more

A master of the art
His erotic song
Delicately stroking my imagination
Calming my storm

My ghostly lover calls to me

And I must surrender
