My Heart Feels Black - Poem by Josh Howell

i lay in the dirt
staring at the sky
ur more beautiful then all the stars
and thats not a lie

the way you look
everyday
is truly gorgeous
in every single way

alot of people may like you
but none of them like me
because no one loves you
no one will see

the goodness in your heart
the look in your eyes
the specialness i feel
when you never tell me lies

the way you walk
as graceful as a swan
and i never want you
to ever be gone

the sensation that fills me
when you hug me tight
and the smile you give me
cant make me feel more right

your comforting smile
makes me tingle inside
and when i see it
i wanna smile wide

i care about you
more then i care about me
and i love seeing you
live happily

you boost my self confidence
when you reply to my text
and you always keep me guessing
what will make me smile next

something you dont know
is my love for you is so strong
and if you didnt know
its been building for so long

i dream about you
in my bed at night
and i wish you were with me
so i could hold you tight

i think of you
every minute of everyday
and i wanna be with you
in every single way

you live in my head
and i dont want you to go
this love for you i have
you will never know

ill keep it bottled up
never telling you
because of it i may lose you
and that i cant do

ill run and hide
when i see you in the hallway
or maybe i will
skip school everyday

i cry everytime
you dont text me back
and when we dont talk
my heart feels black

my life is a mess
and only you can fix it
theres a whole in my heart
and only you fit

so ill lay in my bed
when i cant fall asleep
and ill think of you
as i helplessly weep..
