My Love For You - Poem by Jeannie Anglin

My love for you has gone away
Not like the rain that comes again another day
Love forever lost, it’s the pain that’s here to stay
And that will forever be my price to pay
I thirst for your attention
I hunger for your affection
I long for your devotion
And you leave me pleading
My heart barely beating
Begging for what I am needing
You ask for my love which I freely give
Without your love I cannot live
But you cannot give your love to me
I have made your blind eyes see
Something you didn’t think possible
Now our love is unconceivable
Why do I put myself thru such misery
When love was never meant for me?
